Sunflower Chicken Pizza
Sunny Sunflower
Sunflower microgreens have a long stem with two large leafs and two tiny leafs called true leafs. They have striped seeds that need to be soaked before planting. Our sunflower microgreens spend five days in germination and one week under our grow lights. They can only be harvested for two to three days before the true leaves become too large and the microgreen becomes bitter. Sunflower microgreens last up to two weeks in the refrigerator.
Prepare your Dough

Once the dough is ready, preheat oven to 450° F and place your pizza stone in it. When your toppings are ready sprinkle cornmeal on pizza paddle or cutting board. Cut your dough into three equal pieces and roll them into dough balls. Take one of the dough balls and stretch it until it’s about one eighth of an inch thick. Then lay it on the cornmeal and assemble.
White Cheese Sauce
3 pieces of bacon
2 chicken breasts
1 Tbsp olive oil
1 part salt and pepper to 2 part garlic powder
2.5 oz of private selection Shredded 3 cheese blend
In a saucepan, melt the butter, once melted add the flour and mix until fully combined. Continue to stir until the roux is golden brown. Add in the milk and Stir until it becomes thick. Add in salt, pepper, and cheese. We used a cheese blend of parmesan, romano, and asiago. When the cheese is fully incorporated, set the sauce aside and prepare the rest of the toppings.
Grilled Chicken and Bacon Bits
3 pieces of bacon
2 chicken breasts
1 Tbsp olive oil
1 part salt and pepper to 2 part garlic powder
In a skillet, fry the bacon until it is crispy and golden brown. then put the cooked bacon aside to cool. When cool, crumble into bacon bits and set to the side.
Heavily season both sides of the chicken with the salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Oil the bottom of a medium sized skillet with olive oil and place on medium high heat. Once heated add the chicken to the skillet and cook until the internal temperature is 165°f or until the inside of the chicken has no pink color. Then cut or rip the chicken into small pieces and set aside.
Assemble the Pizza
Pizza dough
White cheese sauce
Bacon bits
Shredded grilled chicken
2 oz Sunflower microgreens
Cornmeal
Sliced fresh mozzarella
Spoon A layer of sauce on your prepared dough, add your chicken and bacon and top with some fresh mozzarella. Slide onto preheated baking pan and cook for ten minutes. Take out of the oven when the crust is golden and crispy and the cheese has melted nicely. Top generously with sunflower microgreens. Then repeat for the other two pizza’s and serve.
